Navi Mumbai has water bodies everywhere and almost all of them are rich in variety of birds. Generally, I visit the different place around Nerul. On Sunday, 11th Feb 2018, I had to take my Son for his Olympiad exams to Sanjeevani International School in Sector 18, Kharghar. Opposite to the school, there is open space and Naturally created water bodies. I was lucky that I carried my camera with me and was able to capture the following birds.
- Little Cormorant – I have never seen so many cormorants together
- Indian Cormorant
- Little Egrets
- Intermediate Egrets
- Cattle Egret
- Black-headed Ibis
- Indian Robin
- Asian Pied Starling
- Black Kite
- Purple Herons –
- Indian Pond Heron
- Western Reef Egret – I spotted it for the first time
- Lots of Little Stint
