Identification: A slim and agile glossy bird with a long and deeply forked tail, black eyes and a white rictal spot(white spot at the base of the bill). The sexes are alike. The juvenile bird has uniform dark brown upper and under parts.
Size: 28-30 cms
Habitat: Light hill forest, wooded country and cultivation areas.
Nesting Season: April to August
Distribution: Widespread resident of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka
