1st june 2017: The pond @ the NRI Complex Birding Area was full of Flamingos today. I could not resist and went for a walk at 6:15 am. Had a great time; the lighting was great and captured a lot of birds in close up. By the time, I reached the flamingos had already started leaving, but I did manage to capture some nice shots of flamingos too. But the most exciting part was the spotting a new bird (for me) – Asian Paradise-flycatcher.
Asian Paradise-flycatcher, I believe are summer time visitors here on Western India. It is now called Indian Paradise-flycatcher
Other good catches were
- Black-Winged Stilt
- Indian Pond Heron fishing from the pond
- Ashy Prinia
- Common Kingfisher
- Little Egret
- Wire-tailed Swallow
- Indian Cormorant
- Striated Heron
Also, clicked
- Yellow Sac Spider
- And some beautiful reflection shots of trees around
