Common Myna (Acridotheres tristis)

Identification: An extremely familiar perky,noisy dark brown bird with a bright yellow bill ,orbital skin and legs. It has a large white wing patch which is prominent in flight and has a white tail tip. Sexes are alike. The juvenile has a brownish black head and a pale brown throat.

Size: 23-25 cms.

Habitat: Around human habitation and cultivation.

Nesting Season: April to August.

Distribution: Widespread resident of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
